China Weather


The weather of China experiences extreme winter and summers .The country of China extends to large areas and covers many degrees of latitude. The topography of China is very complex owing to its size. There is diversity in temperature rainfall and monsoons. The winters are cold and dry with the summers being hot and wet.

There is great variation in temperature due to the latitudes and affect of monsoons. The Huaihe River-Qinling Mountain-southeast and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau face severe cold weather in winters. In summers most of the places in China are above twenty centigrade. Turpan Basin have extreme hot climate in summer with a temperature of thirty two centigrade.

Chongqing, Wuhan, and Nanjing along the Yangtze River is famous for their extreme hot temperature and is known as the” Three Ovens”. China experiences the extremes of climate. The north east of China has short summers with long and cold winters.

China is divided into five temperature zones .Ti has plateau climate zone, a cold temperate zone ,mid temperate zone ,a warm temperate zone ,subtropical zone and a tropical zone.

Precipitation in China is normal. China receives more rainfall in the south .The eastern seashore receives the summer monsoon. Huoshaoliao in Taiwan receives the maximum rainfall. May and Septembers are the rainy seasons of China. Floods are a common feature in summers and winters can sometimes bring droughts.

The South east monsoon of the Pacific Ocean and the South west monsoon of the Indian Ocean are the main source of summer rainfall.

The variations in climate of China make it an interesting tourist place.
