China has several indigenous Domestic and International fleets. There are well equipped International Airports in large cities of China like Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Domestic flights travel to important cities and all major tourist attractions. While International flights are expensive, domestic Fares are reasonable and even then there are frequent discounts offered on busier routes. However due to an increase in air travel and a still developing infrastructure, delays are frequent. Travel between the mainland and outlying areas like Hong Kong or Macau are considered as International flights and are therefore expensive.

China Southern Airlines is China's largest Airline Fleet. Based out of Guangzhou, they have several domestic and international flights. It was established in 1995 as a moderate sized airline. It acquired the Zhonghuan Airlines in 2000, the China Northern Airlines in 2003 and the Xinjiang Airlines in 2004 to become the largest domestic and international air carrier in China. In 2004, it joined the Sky Team Alliance to avail the increased Air Traffic in the region. The Airline is famed for its passenger service and has won several awards. The Frequent Flier Program is called the Sky Pearl Club. The airline logo is that of red kapok.

Air China is the second largest Airlines in China. Set up in 1988, it is the National Flag Carrier for the People's Republic of China. The official name for the airline is Zhongguo Guoji Hong Kong Gongsi. The logo is that of a stylized Phoenix spelling the letters VIP. The Frequent Flyer Program is called the Companion. Air China mainly flies out of Beijing International and the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airports. Air China operates on a joint venture with Cathay Pacific called Dragonair.

China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited was set up in 1988 as a China Airlines. It is based out of Shanghai. The Frequent Flier Program is known as Eastern Miles. In 1997, it became the first Chinese Carrier to sell its shares internationally. In 1998, with China Ocean Shipping Company, it founded a cargo carrier called China Cargo Airlines. Its operations are mainly domestic with a few international flights to major cities around the world. The airline logo is that of a bird in flight.
