Quinamavida Hot Spring

Quinamavida Hot Spring is one of the most oldest and significant hot springs in Chile. The Quinamavida Hot Springs during 1876 were recognized as the fountain of water that possesses healing power. It is said that the Quinamavida Hot Spring was found by a woodsman. According to the legend the water of the spring saved the man from getting any kind of injuries from the forest fire. Since then people believe that Quinamavida Hot Spring has a unique healing power.

The Quinamavida Hot Spring is sited among the forest situated at the bottom of the Andes close to the shores of Colbun Lake in the VII Region of Chile. It is located 16 km north-east to Linares, one of the oldest cities in Chile.

The water of Quinamavida Hot Spring is famous for possessing healing ability. The temperature of the water ranges from 64 F to 80 F, which is ideal for a relaxing bath. The water provides relief to several skin problems, bronchitis, arthritis, asthma, cystitis and all. The Quinamavida Hot Spring water contains minerals like sulfate, sulfur, potassium and calcium.



The mud of the Quinamavida Hot Spring contains several medicinal and vegetable minerals, which is also used for medication.
