Located amid the breathtaking desert landscape, Mamina Hot Springs is situated 8,856 ft above the sea level. Iquique and the Pozo al Monte town are located 125 km and 73 km east of the hot springs.

The temperature of the Mamina Hot Spring varies from 113 C to 134 C. The water of the hot spring can be classified as hypertonic. It consists of sulfate, oligominerals, silica, sodium and chloride. The water is also known to be radioactive.
