Chapo Lake is one of the most beautiful attractions located in the mountainous area of Alerce Andino National Park. The Sothern River, Lenca and the Chaicas rivers drain into this lake. There are many lagoons in the interior region. The main lagoons are Chaiquenes, Triangulo, Fria, Sargazo and Montana and Campana. The natural beauty of the Chapo Lake in Chile is worth watching. There are different species of plants and vegetation near this lake in Chile. One of the main characteristics of the species of plants found here is that most of the plants have very low chlorophyll content in it. Salmonid species are found in this lake.
The lake is surrounded by green forests and different species of animals like the venado, grey fox, pumas, guinas, and little mountain monkeys are found here. The bird watchers can catch a glimpse of the magellanic woodpecker, condor, huet-huet, ringed kingfisher, bay-winged hawk, tufted tit-tyrant, upland goose, and Chilean pigeon.
There are few hotels in the Lagos Region and it is very easy to reach the Chapo Lake. The tourists visiting Chile must have a trip to the Chapo Lake.
