Coquimbo Climate

Coquimbo region experiences a maritime climate, which is the primary reason for the growing number of tourists in the region. Rainfall is mostly received in the afternoons. Evenings remain cloudy with occasional drizzles in Coquimbo of Chile.

Coquimbo Attractions

The sun kissed beaches, soothing climate, breathtaking landscapes and host of sports activities are the major attractions of this region of Coquimbo. The Elqui Valley in this region has some of the most famous astronomical observatories.

The beaches in Guanaqueros and Tongoy are popular for their natural beauty. Guanaqueros is well known as the fisherman’s cove. This is mainly a fishing town that plays host to a number of tourist activities as well. The tourists can enjoy some early morning fishing.
