National Symbols of Chile

The National symbols of Chile are the flag, the National Anthem and the National Emblem of Chile. The symbols of Chilean Nationality are considered as the pride and possession of the citizens, to hold back their national entity.

The National Flag of Chile comprises of two parallel horizontal white lines at the top and red below. A blue square is adjusted at the same height as the white band and the square holds a white colored star with five-points in the center that depicts a guide line towards advancement and reward. The color blue symbolizes the sky, and white depicts the snow-covered Andes ranges, while red prompts for the blood shed by the martyrs to achieve independence.

The National Anthem of Chile is called Himno Nacional de Chile in Spanish is also colloquially called Canción Nacional. This anthem has originated from two lyrics and two melodies too, that make up three diverted versions of the same anthem. The anthem was composed by Eusebio Lillo and Ramón Carnicer and comprises of six parts excluding the chorus.

National emblems of Chile are noticed on the national flag, coat of arms and other materials relevant to patriotism. These are less formal but official emblems of Chile, which are required for the use in tourism or clichés departments, or more often on windmills in the Netherlands. Chile National Symbol plays a vital role to hold the identity of nation and its citizens.
