2010 Olympics Opening Ceremony
Following the tradition of Olympic Games, Vancouver 2010 Winter Games will begin with an
elaborate opening ceremony on February 12, 2010 in BC Place. Titled as "To Inspire the World", this 2010 Winter Games opening ceremony will be the first ever ceremony to be held indoors. 55,000 spectators will view this ceremony face to face sitting in BC Place stadium and will be viewed by more than 3 million people through their television sets.
The opening ceremony will begin with a magnificent display of light and sound along with the ritualistic ceremonial procession. After which, winding of the 5 Olympic rings from the ground, accompanied by the whistling sound will take place. Then there will be the participants parade followed by the cultural events exhibiting the spirit of the all the cities, districts & provinces of Canada and to celebrate the sportsmen spirit of the world's greatest athletes gathered there.
