Winter Olympics 2010
Winter Olympics 2010 will be held in Vancouver, Canada from February 12-28, 2010. Officially known as
the XXI Olympic Winter Games, the winter games will be hosted by Canada for the second time. Prior to this Canada has hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta. With this Olympics, Vancouver will be the largest and warmest city to host a Winter Games ever.
The main venue for the winter games will be Vancouver; however some events will also be hosted in West Vancouver, Whistler and Richmond. The 2010 Winter Olympics will also for the first time witness the opening and closing ceremonies indoors, in the famous BC Place stadium. Winter Olympic 2010 will also special as these games for the very first time will be held in a National Hockey League market.
