Prudential

Prudential, a UK-based financial services company was founded in1848 in Hatton Garden in London. Established as the Prudential Mutual Assurance Investment and Loan Association, the main service of Prudential was to provide loans to professionals secured through life assurance. As the largest UK life assurer in Asia, Prudential's main activities include the sale of pensions, annuities, savings and investments, sale of with-profit bonds and pensions, corporate pension schemes, bulk annuities and individual annuities. Prudential introduced itself in Asia with the opening of an overseas agency for life assurance in India in1923. The company relaunched in India recently with the name ICICI Prudential, a joint venture with ICICI Bank. Having around 20 million customers worldwide, Prudential also extends its activities to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.
