Wells Fargo

The financial company called Wells Fargo is headquartered in San Francisco, California. In 1998, Minneapolis-based Norwest Corporation acquired the California-based Wells, Fargo and Company. Wells Fargo has subsidiaries in Canada, the Northern Mariana Islands and the Caribbean. Wells Fargo owns 6,250 stores, serves 23 million customers and has 154,000 employees.

Wells Fargo came into existence after 2,000 mergers. The holding company was earlier known as Norwest Corporation. The management and business model of Norwest is being followed till date. Crocker National Bank, First Interstate Bank and Norwest Corporation are the selected predecessor companies.
