The
National Australia Bank (NAB), the largest bank in Australia is part of the NAB Group formed on June 23 1893. The core business of the National Bank Group is organized around three businesses units of Australia, UK/Europe and New Zealand. The regional business units include the retail bank, wealth management and business banking services. The National Australia Bank is a supporter of Australian football and sponsors Auskick and NAB Cup.
Initially, Natioal Bank Australasia merged with the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney to form National Australia Bank in 1981. The National Australia Bank opened a branch in Chicago and a representative office in Beijing. Later, the National Australia Bank rationalized its operations in the US and closed its offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco. This year the bank wins coveted "Bank of the Year" award.
