Burundi free schools are the ideal resources of providing free of cost education (primary level) to the children of Burundi as well as to increase the nation's awareness towards education. The reconstruction process in Burundi is gradually speeding up and after 12 years of continuous civil war, a new democratic government has been set up. The President of this new government has pledged to provide free education to children and hence the free schools of Burundi have been set up.
“Children's right to free education” is now an essential policy of the government system of Burundi. The UNICEF has also come ahead to help the country to its best possible limits. Education in Burundi was initially restricted to a few, since majority of the masses were unable to pay the fees due to economic instability. The government has established many free schools in Burundi and implemented various new policies that would benefit the children of Burundi.
The children of Burundi faced the major impact of war and it affected the mental as well as physical growth of children. Malnutrition, diseases, AIDS, child abuse and rape increased manifold and had a drastic effect on the children of Burundi. Later on, after the formation of the new government system all these impacts were largely controlled. The Burundi free schools are providing the best possible education to children and hence increasing the literacy rate as well as the general awareness of the country.
