Bulgaria Protestantism

Bulgaria Protestantism forms the fourth largest Bulgaria religion and according to 2001 census, the population of Protestants was about 42,308 in the country. The two major ethic groups among the Bulgarian Protestants are namely the Roma and Bulgarians and their member conglomeration was nearly about 50,000. Presently the hike of Protestantism in Bulgaria has been remarkable and it is due to financing of the Protestant denomination from the United States.

Bulgaria Protestantism was established in 1857-58 and the missionaries of Bulgaria were the main initiators of the religion. The Methodists and Congregationalists were the two wings of the Protestants and they divided their areas separately.
Methodists reigned the northern Bulgaria whereas the Congregationalists ruled the southern part of the country.

The Protestants in Bulgaria played a vital role for the social development and they set up many churches, missionaries, schools, colleges, youth clubs and hospitals in throughout the country. The social services rendered by the Protestants were awesome and post independence the Protestants became more influential as well as survived as one of the strongest Bulgaria Religion.
