Kuala Belait


Kuala Belait is a town of Brunei and is the second largest city of the country. Kuala Belait of Brunei functions as an administrative town for the Belait district. The literal meaning of Kuala Belait means "the mouth of Belait River". The city is situated on the western border of Brunei.

Kuala Belait was actually a tiny fishing village at the beginning of the 20th century as the natives of this city were originally fisherman. The town, Kuala Belait is again subdivided into villages (kampongs). Despite being a small town Kuala Belait attracts numerous tourists as various places of interest can be found in this small town of Brunei.
