A Brunei Temburong trip packs in itself all the ingredients of an exciting getaway. The Temburong district is rich in flora and fauna and the home to the Ulu Temburong National Park. This rain forest region boasts of great biological and botanical variety. But those with an inclination for wildlife could be disappointed as most of the creatures hardly come out of their natural habitat. The Bangar River flowing through the region is ideal for a river tour. On such trips one can get to catch a glimpse of species of lizards, Hornbills, Macaques, Proboscis monkeys indulging in various antics, and butterflies. The district of Temburong has a well connected waterway. Speed boats ferry across the river at frequent intervals. They connect the towns of Bangar and Bandar Seri Begawan.
A trip to the Temburong district is incomplete without covering the major tourist attractions of the district. This includes a visit to the Kuala Belalong Mini Park, the Kuala Belalong Rainforest Field Studies Center, Bukit Patoi Recreational Park and the Batang Duri Park. The district also provides great opportunities for trekking, be it along the narrow paths through the forest at the Ulu Temburong National Park or the vast expanse of green fields.
