Brunei Flag symbolizes the identity of the nation. The flag of Brunei is rectangular in shape and has an interesting design. Brunei Flag is divided into four panels and the National Crest is embedded at the center of the flag. The National Crest became a part of the flag of Brunei after the Constitution of Brunei was accepted in 1959.
Brunei Flag has two parallelograms and two trapeziums of different colors. The standard measurements of the flag of Brunei is length 82cm and width 91.4cm. The parallelogram is at a distance of 6.35cm below the top left corner and runs to the bottom right corner and ends at the same distance from the corner.
The parallelogram is divided into two strips, white and black in color. The remaining portion of Brunei flag is yellow in color. The National Crest is red and each part of it has a significant relation to the country of Brunei. Two hands support the National Crest of Brunei flag symbolizing the pledge of the government to support the promotion of the nation.
The National Crest is made of various parts. The flag of the crest is called the Bendera and the Royal Umbrella is known as Payung Ubor-Ubor. Both signify the Royalty of Brunei. The wing or Sayap is the symbol of the protection provided to justice, peace, prosperity and tranquility. The crescent or Bulan is the symbol of Islam and the inscription is the National Slogan, ' Always in service with God's guidance'.
