Brunei Performing Arts comprises the various art forms like dance, music, theater and song drama. The development of these performing arts of Brunei is influenced by the rich past and the diverse cultural heritage of the country. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, under the government of Brunei as well as various Non-Governmental Organizations patronize the development of Brunei Performing Arts.
Dance, as a form of performing arts of Brunei, developed through the ages with influences from the traditional and folk dance forms. The traditional dance forms of Brunei include Jipin Lela Sembah, Alus Jua Dindang, Joget Baju Putih, Samalindang, Jong Sarat, Tudung Dulang. The folk dance forms of Brunei are Aduk-Aduk, Adai-Adai, Anding Rimba, Alai Sekap, Basuk Pakoi and Tamarok. The Contemporary dance styles of Brunei are Jipin Tar and Joget Seri Kenangan.
