The skeleton of that piper was found in the castle. It is now believed that the eerie music heard at times is played by the piper.
Dunrobin Castle also has an interesting tale to tell. The daughter of the 14th Earl was confined in the Dunrobin Castle in Sutherland & Caithness. It is said that the lady was kept confined to the upper floor of the Dunrobin Castle by her father. She died while trying to flee via the high window.
