Britain Fashion

The world of Britain fashion has much in common with the fashion scenario of other European nations and America. However, despite all the similarities, British fashion has always been successful in maintaining an identity unique to itself over the years. London, alongside Milan and Paris, is one of the major fashion centers in the world.

The Royal Family of Britain has a major influence on the fashion statements of the common people. The Elizabethan Age was marked by a certain way of dressing, where women wore elaborate gowns and men wore coats, trousers, high collars and hats. Similarly, Jacobean Era had a particular dressing style. After the Second World War, fashion in Britain became more international in approach and influences from the Parisian and American fashion worlds began to shape up the fashion trends in Britain. Britain Fashion, in the modern times, is highly influenced by the fashion trends that exist in the USA.

British people wear formal as well as informal attires depending on the occasion they are attending. Usually formal dresses that include suits are preferred by men for formal occasions, while ladies prefer to adorn themselves with beautiful gowns or long dresses. Blazers, trousers and a suitable tie also make a perfect formal dress for British men. However, on casual occasions and parties, the young crowd is mainly seen in jeans, skirts, tops and t-shirts.

Shoes and accessories play an extremely important role in the fashion of Britain. British people have a fetish for shoes. For fashion-conscious girls, high-heeled sandals are a must. Boys mostly prefer sports shoes. On special occasions, people wear fancy shoes and boots too. As far as accessories are concerned, Britons prefer to keep it simple. People of Britain love to enhance the beauty of their dresses by wearing stylish caps and fancy belts.

Designer Britain dresses are very famous in the country and people love to wear them on special occasions like marriages or during major festivals. Some of the famous designers of Britain include names such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Paul Smith. These designers have carved a niche for themselves in the international fashion market.
