Moshupa Botswana

Moshupa is a village, which is situated in the southern districts of the land of Botswana. The total number of people inhabiting the village of Moshupa is approximately around 18,000. The latitude and longitude of the village of Moshupa in Botswana are 24º 48' 0 S and 25º 22' 60 E, respectively. The altitude at which Moshupa at Botswana is placed measures one thousand one hundred and forty one meters, which is approximately equal to three thousand seven hundred and forty six feet above the sea level.

The Moshupa village, like any other village at Botswana, is distributed into various wards namely, Kgosing, Phuting, Nakedi, Kgope, Mmamohuhumedi, Nkaikela, Rungwana, Sau, Jerusalem (part of Phuting), Modimele, Mokakaneng, Maburung, Mogaung, Dibotong, Ntle ga majwe, Lepapeng and Maunatlala.

The major tourist attractions at Moshupa of Botswana are its three main rivers, namely, Mosope, Hatshelatladi (Gatsalatladi) and Monnamme.
The river of Selokolela is also considered as an important river, which flows through the southern regions of Moshupa. Villagers swear about the legendary Kgwanyape or the Dragon, which used to once inhabit the Mosope River. They even believe that none would dare to cross the Phuting / Kgosing mountain range due to the terror of the Kgwanyape. The story of the Kgwanyape getting converted into a white lady during daytime and sunbathing in that region attracts more and more tourists to Moshupa.

The nearby airports, which provide access to Moshupa of Botswana, are Thebephatshwa, Sir Seretse Khama International, Jwaneng and the Mafikeng airport. Moshupa is also well connected via road to the nearby cities.
