Ghanzi, the “capital of Kalahari”, is one of the districts located in the country of Botswana. The total number of people inhabiting the district of
Ghanzi is around thirty three thousand one hundred and seventy, according to the 2001 census. The geographical coordinates of the Ghanzi district are equal to 22º 00 S and 22º 00 E. The total area covered by the district of Ghanzi is approximately equal to one lakh seventeen thousand nine hundred and ten square kilometers, with the density being that of 0.28 per square kilometers. The district of Ghanzi at Botswana is enveloped by the region of Namibia in the western areas, which belongs to the Omaheke region.

Ghanzi is surrounded by other districts of Botswana. These include the North-West district, Central district, Kweneng district and the Klgalagadi district. The administrative center of the Ghanzi district is situated in the town of Ghanzi. The people inhabiting the town of Ghanzi belong to various ethnic groups like there are Bushmen, Baherero, Bakgalagadi, Afrikaaners and the Batawana group.

The chief tourist attraction at the district of Ghanzi is the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The Central Kalahari Game Resort is placed over the eastern regions of Ghanzi in Botswana.

The nearest airport is that of Ghanzi Airport which is well connected to the rest of the country.
