Veryan Edwards started working in a tiny studio at the St Ansgsr's Mission in the same city of her higher education. At first she worked with one of her friends but later served the African Music and Drama Association, (AMDA) which was under Khabe Mngoma at the Dorkay House. Veryan Edwards was appointed the Head of Art at AMDA at Veryan and she conducted classes for various artists at Orlando West, Dorkay House, Soweto and Lenasia.
In the year 1989, Edwards, Veryan introduced an international workshop at Botswana that was based on Triangle International Artists' Workshop model at the United States of America in New York. It was in the year 1980 that Veryan Edwards of Botswana and her husband moved towards the village of Kanye at Botswana as she started concentrating on her studio work along with studying for a degree in Philosophy and Logic from the University of South Africa.
