The Botswana GTV has 13 channels covering all fields like sports, movies, news, religion and music. To avail connection to GTV, P1 400 is charged. Monthly subscription for a G-base is P 155.00. It provides a package of 10 channels without any sports channel. The package of G-plus features 13 channels and its cost is around P 245.00.
The pre requisites for getting connected to GTV include remote control, smart control, satellite dish and decoder. The officials of the GTV Botswana are however, not concerned about whether the decoders are compatible with signals or not. The GTV Botswana does not need any broadcasting license as per the Court of Appeals. However, official clearance and permission have to be obtained to start broadcasting operations.
