The
Botswana Bars are mostly situated in the capital city of Botswana, Gaborone. But these
Botswana bars work mostly in close association with various Botswana hotels and restaurants. There is no restriction in the consumption of alcohol in the licensed bars in Botswana. These bars have to obtain a license from the Government of Botswana. Henceforth, the guests to these bars do not have to face any hostile action from the Botswana police. One needs to be a minimum of 18 years of age to consume alcohol legally. The cocktails are finely made and served by the experts in the bars of Botswana. In some of the bars, locally made liquor is also served in Botswana. These traditional drinks include:
- Khadi or Bojalwa (a traditional beer which tastes much similar to apple cider)
- Ginger Beer (this is specially made in a local way)
- Palm Wine (this is thought to be the most strong wine)
- Kgadi (this wine is prepared from the distillation of sugar or fungus)
Some of the bars in Botswana are designed in a unique way. While some bars are placed in the open air, there are few bars that are designed with thatched roofs. The suites of the luxurious hotels in Botswana are mostly equipped with mini bars. The tourists thus can enjoy a drink while relaxing in the comfortable lounges.
