Royal Navy Dockyard and Museum exhibits the rich cultural heritage and the history of the amazingly picturesque Bermuda. Commonly referred as the ' Gibraltar of the West', the construction of the Royal Naval Dockyard Bermuda started in 1809 at the country's Ireland Island . The Royal Navy Dockyard and Museum is located in Sandys Parish.
Till 1951, the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda functioned as a major Atlantic outpost for the British Royal Navy. Since 1995 after all the buildings and amenities available were shut down, the Royal Navy Dockyard and Museum has been converted into a tourist spot frequented by tourers.

The Cooperage accommodates the Frog and Onion Pub, the Bermuda Craft Market, the Neptune Cinema and the Bermuda Art Center. Bermuda Clayworks and Dockyard Glassworks now stand within the premises of the buildings meant for repair works.
