Benin Agriculture has been expanding since 1994 due to the initiative taken by CFA franc de-valuation. The project is run by a private sector whose main goal is to restore all the collective farms in the west African country of Benin. The most important crop in the Benin Agriculture sector is the oil palm since it is able to produce a huge amount of foodstuffs. The oil palm is also used extensively in the industries.
Some of the major challenges faced by the Benin Agriculture include inadequate storage capacity of the Benin agricultural products, poor transport facilities and the inability of the farmers to provide legal documents supporting their land ownership in case they require a loan.
