The Belize national Football team is the national soccer team of Belize. This Belize football team is managed by the Football Federation of Belize. The Belize national Football team is nicknamed as the Jaguars and the confederation it is affiliated to is the CONCACAF or the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football
The Belize football associations and leagues are making strategic plans to promote the game in the country. They have also taken up the responsibility of encouraging the budding Belize football players to contribute to the progress of the game in the nation. The Belize Football leagues and associations are working to improve their infrastructure to provide appropriate grooming to the footballers.
Numerous organizations like the Belize Youth Soccer have also contributed to the growth and development of the game in the country. The Belize Youth Soccer, hence, is considered to be an important part of Belize Football. This organization was founded in the year 1999 and has its headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland. This particular organization is meant for creating developmental opportunities for high-school students in Belize both in the field of academics and athletics, through the Belize sports of Football.The BYS or the Belize Youth Soccer is raising funds for introducing a U-19 soccer team comprising of budding soccer players. This team is to represent the country in the Schwan's USA CUP International soccer competition in Blaine, which is situated in Minnesota.
