The
Football Federation of Belize was founded in the year 1980 and was known by the name of
the Belize National Football Association or the B.N.F.A. It continues to be one of the important members of the FIFA, UNCAF and CONCACAF since the year 1986. The Belize National Football Association was renamed as the Football Federation of Belize or the F.F.B in the year 2001. The Football Federation of Belize can be categorized into three important bodies, which are:
- The Executive Committee
- The General Council
- The general Meeting
The Football Federation of Belize comprises Football associations such as the Premier Football League. Being an important component of Belize sports, the Football Federation inspires and grooms budding footballers in the country. It strategises ways to promote the game in the country and encourages players to participate on a mass scale.
