Belize Development Trust was formed in 1997 under 1992 Trust Act of Belize. It is a non government organization that was produced as a legal entity in the country. It represented identity needs of various volunteer groups while carrying out different projects.
There are about 200 volunteers in the Development Trust of Belize. The members' common interest is love for their motherland. The volunteer list of Belizean Development Trust consists of farmers, ordinary people, tourist operators and guides, deans of many Community Colleges, University administrators of Foreign countries and Belize, mechanical engineers, forestry experts, Belizean politicians, electronic engineers, Civil service bureaucrats from foreign and from the country, hoteliers, fishermen, all types of professional, Chairpersons and faculty, environmentalists, nuclear scientists retired, experts of coastal management, editors or owners of newspapers, different countries' lawyers, radio and television media.
