Belize Infrastructure contributes to the Belize economy in many ways. Whether it is transport or electricity, the economy of the country is determined by the state of Belizean infrastructure. The roadways and the highways prove important aspects of trade and business in Belize. The country has a total of 1,594 miles of roads, out of which 303 are concrete roads. There are four main Belize highways that connect the country to nearby countries like Mexico and Guatemala, Mexico being one of the major import partners of the country. The villages are well connected to cities like Belmopan and Belize city, which in turn provides a boost to the agricultural industry in Belize.

There has been a considerable increase in telephone subscribers from 3,300 in the year 1995 to 30,000 in the year 1999. The Internet and the mobile connections have undergone a considerable rise too in the past few years.
There are ten different ports of entry, out of which the largest is in the Belize city. There are a total of nine major Belize shipping lines, which provide transport in and out of the country. The most important ports in the southern part of the country are the Big Creek and Punta Gorda. Belize has a wide array of commercial air traffic routes. One of them is the Philip Goldson International Airport. The major international carriers that serve this particular airport are American Airlines, Grupo Taca and Continental Airlines. Some of the major international airports that are connected to Belize through airlines are Dallas, Miami, Houston, and San Salvador.
The Belize government is planning many more Belize infrastructure projects that could change the face of Belize economy in the centralamerica_belize capital market.
