Belize festivals reflect the culture of Belize in a significant way. It is through the bright and colorful Belize festivals that people get a feel of Belizean celebrations.

Famous Belize Festivals

There are 3 very important festivals, which are celebrated with lots of pomp and show in the country:
  • Belize Carnival: It is a much awaited annual event, which is celebrated in September every year. Over the years this festival has gained magnitude and popularity alike. The main highlights of this fun-filled and vibrant festival is dance, music and endless joy.
The brilliant street parades, with dancers in colorful costumes are certainly the chief attractions of Belize Carnival.
  • Belize International Film Festival: This festival is dedicated completely to meaningful and thought-provoking films. During the week-long film festival excellent films from Belize, Central American regions, Southern Mexico, the Caribbean and other countries of the world are screened.
  • San Pedro International Costa Maya Festival: It is hosted in Ambergris Caye, located off the coast of Belize. Earlier known as “The Sea & Air Festival”, the festival is being celebrated since 1991.
