Belize Climate

Belize Climate is dependent on the location of the country. This Central American country is located on the Caribbean Coast. The geographic coordinates of Belize are 17 15 N and 88 45 W. The country is consisted of low mountains and flat coastal plain which also determine the climate of Belize. The lowest point is 0 m Caribbean sea and the highest point of the country is 1,160 m Victoria Peak.

Belize Climate can be described as sub-tropical. The climate is hot and humid. Humidity is greater in the coastal region. The mean annual humidity is around 83%. But at times humidity is complimented by the cooling sea breezes. The coastal area of Belize encounters the southeast trade winds.

Climate in Belize shows that the temperature ranges from 50°F to 95°F. The annual mean is around 79°F. The coolest months of Belize are November to January. The average temperature remains 75°F during these months.
The warmest months are from May to September when the average temperature remains 81°F. Belize enjoys dry months from February to May and rainy season starts from May and continue to November. But the number of rainy days differ from one region to the other.

The mountains are colder than the coastal plains. Though the mean annual temperature is around 72°F nights are relatively cold than days. That is why Cayo is colder than the coast. Temperature falls up to 46°F in the month of November. Climate of Belize is more or less pleasant throughout the year.
