Belarus National Football Team



The Belarus National Football Team is managed by the Football Federation of Belarus. The federation was established in 1989. It got the affiliation of FIFA in 1992 while that of UEFA in 1993.

20th July, 1992 is a memorable day for the Belarus National Football Team. It was on this day that the National Football Team of Belarus had their first match. They played against the team of Lithuania. Earlier, this football team used to play in the USSR national football team.

The famous Dinamo Stadium at the capital city of Minsk is the place where the National Football Team of Belarus plays their national matches. In 1995, they had a win over Netherlands in Euro 96 played at Minsk. After a long gap of 11 years, on 24th May, 2006, they again emerged triumphant over England with a 2-1 victory.

The head coach of the National Football Team in Belarus is Mr. Yuri Puntus. The present captain of the team is Sergei Shtanyuk. Some of the well known players of the National Football Team at Belarus are as follows:
