Christianity in Belarus is widely practiced and followed. But Christianity in Belarus can be segregated into different sects. A majority of Christians in Belarus follow the Eastern Orthodox Church.
Precisely, they are the followers of Belarusian Autocephalous Orthodox Church. Orthodox Christianity was introduced by the Greeks. Belarusians have developed their own approach to the group by giving more importance to the humanism. The Orthodox Church is tolerant towards the other religions. There are quite a few churches of this orthodox religion.
Another sect of the Christianity in Belarus is formed by the Roman Catholic Christians. A majority of the population come under this group of Roman Catholicism. This forms the second biggest religion in Belarus. The Catholics in the country come up to 1.7 million. They are the followers of Pope and Curia in Rome. The districts of Belarus, that come under the jurisdiction of Roman Catholicism are Vitebsk, Hrodna and Pinsk. The main archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Belarus is Minsk-Mogilev.
