Peoples Coalition 5 Plus



The People's Coalition 5 Plus is a political entity in Belarus. The coalition is a collection of opposition political parties. The people's coalition in Belarus was found with the common aim to end
the alleged autocratic rule of President Alexander Lukashenko.

The People's Coalition 5 Plus is made up of 5 political parties. All the 5 political parties belong to the opposition. The five entities are:
  • Party of Communists of Belarus
  • United Civil Party of Belarus
  • Belarusian Social Democratic Party-Assembly
  • Belarusian Labor Party
  • Belarusian People's Front
The 5 Plus People's Coalition fights elections as a single entity. The People's Coalition 5 Plus has not gained any seat in the National Assembly of the former Soviet country.



The coalition views Belarusian state elections as an unfair exercise. The People's Coalition 5 Plus challenges the validity of such elections. According to the coalition members, unequal treatment was meted out to the opposition political parties in every state election, since Belarus gained independence from the Soviet Union. The coalition alleged gross election irregularities like the willful inhibition of freedom of expression, violation of universal rights and rights to express oneself was greatly challenged before and during the elections in Belarus. The People's Coalition 5 Plus wants a complete democratic process, where the electorate may choose their political leaders without fear or favor.
