The terrain of Belarus is usually flat with lakes, rivers, swamps and marshy lands. Dzyarzhynskaya Hara in Belarus is considered to be the highest point of Belarus.
This point lies on the Belarusian range that diagonally dissects the country from southwest to the east northwest of the country. The height of the hill is about 345 m from the sea level. Dzyarzhynskaya Hara in Belarus is located to the west of Minsk the capital city, near Dzyarzhynsk, in the village of Skirmuntava. The hill is easily accessible from Dzyarzhynsk city via a number of transports that are available from the city.

The former name of Dzyarzhynskaya Hara hill was Svyataya Hara. The hill was renamed as Hara Dzyarzhynskaya in 1958. This Dzyarzhynsk Hill, Belarus was named after Felix Dzerzhinsky, the polish communist revolutionary. Felix Dzerzhinsky is regarded as the national hero in Belarus.



This hill is mainly covered by fir and mixed forests. This hill is one of the greatest attractions of the tourists. A major part of the hill remains snow caped through out the year. Hiking, Skiing and trekking are the major activities, tourists can indulge in. A number of hiking resorts have been built in the vicinity of the hill to promote tourism.
