Islam is proclaimed as the state religion of Bahrain and thus the predominant religion of the country. Both the Shia and Sunni communities comprise the Islam population of the country of Bahrain. Before the Islam, the dwellers of Bahrain used to worship Idols. Islam is noticed to be expanded through the entire Arabian province in the 7th century, bringing down the idol believers.
Nowadays the Royal family of Bahrain, Al Khalifa is known as the governing family. Their encouraging clans stick on to the Maliki discipline of Islamic legal philosophy, whereas the Huwala Sunnis pursue the Shafi'i discipline. In this land of Bahrain a huge number of Sunni Muslim inhabitants are found who originate from Southern regions of Asian continent. They usually who observe the Hanafi discipline of Islamic legal philosophy. The Shia Islam in Bahrain is divided as Baharna and Ajam, who are found to pursue Jafari discipline.
Bahrain Constitution indicates that the religion of Islam is also the official religion of the country but believes in the independence of religion and faith of the non-islams. A number of strictures as well as limitations are scheduled for them. The followers of other religions who observe their own conviction and faith in private they can perform this without any intrusion of the Bahrain Government and are allowed to sustain their own spaces for worship. Other than this they are also allowed to show the signs and emblems of their individual religion.
