    About Bahrain


    The most important fact about Bahrain is that it is an archipelago in Persian Gulf and is the smallest Arab nation. Saudi Arabia lies to the west and Qatar lies to the south. Saudi Arabia is connected to Bahrain by King Fahd Causeway. The capital and chief port of Bahrain is Al Manamah.

    The terrain of Bahrain is flat and sandy and has a few low hills. The climate is hot and humid throughout the year in Bahrain.

    About Bahrain it must be remembered that the economy is based on oil. Bahrain is an important financial center and the site of a major U.S. navy base. The majority of the population is Muslim Arab Bahrainis. Other nationalities also live in Bahrain. You will find people of Indian, Persian, Iranian and other races who have made Bahrain their home.

    Arabic is the official language in Bahrain but other languages like English, Farsi, and Urdu are also spoken.
