Graz Austria

Graz in Austria is situated on the Mur River. It is also the capital of Styria. Graz is full of forests and the greenery has attracted large number of tourists. Graz experiences a Mediterranean climate. Rain and wind are less compared to the other cities of Austria. Smog is common in winter. The Schlossberg castle is very famous in Graz. This castle is situated on a rock .The Bell tower and the Clock towers are very famous in the city.

The streets which surround the city are well connected by alleys. There are 17 districts which make up the city and have their own importance. 'Altstadt', which is also known as the Old Town is famous for houses of the medieval age. The social life of the town is very fast. There are famous restaurants and Steirischer Herbst event is very famous. The city is famous for carnival and which are held on Tuesdays. The districts of Graz have many historical monuments. Geidorf in Graz has some beautiful parks. Muva is the museum of Perception and is situated in Graz.

The outer districts of Graz are full of forests and meadows and can make you feel that you are in a village. The city brings us close to Nature. The Landeszeughaus which is the provincial armory has vast collection of weapons which belong to the 17th century. The coin museum and the archeological museum attract the tourists. The city has taste for theatre music, art, cinema and art exhibitions.
