Australia Education

Australian education is compulsory up to the age specified by the legislation and varies state-wise from 15-17. Education in Australia is regulated by Australian Education System which is governed by the individual governments of each state. It follows a 3-tier model that includes:

  • Primary education (Primary Schools)
  • Secondary education (Secondary Schools / High Schools)
  • Tertiary education in Universities and / or TAFE [Technical And Further Education] Colleges)

Post-compulsory education of Australian Studentsis controlled by the Australian Qualifications Framework, a unified body of national qualifications in schools, vocational education and training.

Pre-School is not compulsory in all Australian states. Supplementary option is the outside traditional parenting that encumbers day care or a parent run playgroup. However, Pre-school education is different from primary school that are usually run by local councils, community groups or private organizations, exception in the states of Northern Territory and Queensland.

Australian Education IPD:Australian IPD is the organisation operating globally and offer the testing services for the students around the world who wnnt to study overseas or internationally.


Australia Education

School is mandatory in Australian continent that usually ranges from the ages of six and sixteen. About two-third of the population segment is served by Government schools and the remaining third by independent schools. Whereas, Government schools offer free education, independent schools are both religious and secular type that charges some fees instead. However, the course curriculum is same for all.

Tertiary education is administered by the Australian Qualifications Framework or AQF, comprising both vocational and higher education viz., from trade certificates to doctorate levels. However, Universities control their own curriculums. AQF primarily regulate the vocational learning.

In Australia, higher education is classified into:

  1. Certificate, Diploma and Associate Degrees
  2. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with a Diploma of Education (DipEd).
  3. Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.
  4. Honors consist of a short thesis or Masters by Research, divided into First Class, Second Class sub-divided into Division I and Division II and Third Class.
  5. Doctor of Philosophy or Ph.D
  6. Higher Doctorates, i.e. Doctor of Science (DSc) or Doctor of Letters (DLitt).
