If you visit Argentina during Christmas you should better greet an Argentine with 'Feliz Navidad' that means 'Merry Christmas' in Argentina. The Argentina Christmas starts much earlier than the Christmas Day. The Christmas trees are decorated in every house with flowers and gifts. The houses in Argentina get a face lift during this festive season. Red and white garlands are hung with an aesthetic touch on the doors of houses. Many set up the Nativity scene, a replica of the manger where Jesus Christ was born.
The Argentina Christmas is an occasion when the families in Argentina have a family get together party. The dinner prepared in Christmas is a luxurious one with the availability of turkey, pork and a wide variety of sweetmeats. But before the Argentines start with their dinner, they never forget to pray for the well being of their loved ones to the Lord Jesus. The champagne bottles wait to be corked open for the toast. The bottles uncorked; and the party starts.
But with the conclusion of dinner, the Argentina Christmas is never complete. It is better to say that the Christmas party starts at midnight when the adults dance and the young ones go out on the streets to burst firecrackers. The new clothes are put on with ornaments by the festive public in Argentina during that night. The children go to their beds at midnight with dreams of Santa Claus bringing gifts with the breaking of the dawn.
