Parana is the capital of Entre Rios province in Argentina. Parana has a latitudinal location at 31 0 44' S to 60 o 32' W. Parana is situated on the eastern shore of the river Parana. Parana lies opposite to the Santa Fe city.
Santa Fe city and Parana city are connected to each other by Hernandarias Subfluvial Tunnel which was inaugurated in the year 1969.
Parana is both the head quarter of the provincial government and an important river port through which cereals, lumber, fish and cattle are transported. Parana is also an important industrial center. Parana also has dome manufacturing industries of cement, ceramics and furniture.
