Chubut is a province in Argentina. It is located in the southern part of Argentina. The eastern part of it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean whereas the western part of it is bounded by Chile. Chubut covers an area of 86,751 square miles. The name of this province has come from the Tehuelche word chupat which means transparent. It is home to the Los Alerces National Park that provides a full array of varied landscapes starting from glaciated mountains, alpine lakes, rivers to forests.
The main economic resources of Chubut is the Petroleum based industry. Aside this the Chubut dwellers indulge themselves in fishing activities. Since last few years this region of Argentina has been succumbing to the mass tourism. The major attractions of Chubut includes

On the other hand Golfo San Jorge, is the only place in the world where the typical Chubut Steamer Duck could be seen.
