Capilla del Monte was a fabulous village, at present a small city situated in the province of Cordoba. It is at 980 meters above sea level amidst the Sierra chain of mountains. This region is made up of various types of rocks and surrounded by rivers and streams.
The temperature of Capilla del Monte changes considerably with the changing seasons. In winter the temperature falls to 3 degree C or 4 degree C, while in summer it goes to as much as 30 degree C during the day but the nights are pleasant.

Flora and fauna are abundant in this region. One can find wild foxes, pumas, red nape woodpeckers and hummingbirds with long tails. You can go for a walk around the white and red quebracho woods, coconut palms, carob trees, and hackberry trees.
