Paintball

Paintball is a type of adventure sport in which the players of two opposing teams play with an object of eliminating their opponents by hitting them with the paintballs. These paintballs are usually spherical gelatin capsules made from polythene glycol and dyed with markers and shot from the compressed-gas-powder guns. When these paintballs hit the players, they burst and the leave the marks of the dye on the players' body. The marked players are considered to be eliminated from the game. But if a paintball does not leave a mark in spite of hitting a player, then he is not considered to be out There are also other rules in the game like the Three Ball Break, bunker tap rule or the surrender rule . The main Paintball variations are Capture the Flag, Centerflag, Elimination or Slayer , Woodsball, speedball or Scenarioball . The main gear to be used while playing is the Goggle System which is mainly a protective gear and prevent injury to the eye.

In 1976, the sport of Paintball was invented by Josef Venable and his friend Charles Gaines . Later, the two started planning the rules for the sport and the game which started with two players opposing each other, took the form of a game of twelve players in 1981. The Paintball tournaments are also held which are played by either serious or casual players and are usually held in the Paintball Parks .

The sport of Paintball is one of the most popular adventure sports in the world. According to the Sporting Goods Manufacturer's Association , the game is played by over 30 million people in the USA alone. The game is spreading even faster and is expected to be one of the most loved adventure sports in the world in the recent future.
