Oregon has a total strength of 27 delegates tied to the May 20 Primary, along with 3 unpledged members. It is imperative that McCain will receive most of the delegate support needed to secure his nomination. McCain has already began his campaign with an eye on the Presidential election to be held in the month of November this year.
McCain is presently busy with the job of selecting the suitable running mate for his Presidential campaign. Charlie Crist, Bobby Jindal and Mitt Romney are among the most likely candidates for the post.
