
According to the county exit poll reports, Mike Huckabee was declared the projected winner of the
Arkansas Republican Primary - February 5. Of the 94% reporting precinct votes, Huckabee won 60%. Among the other Republican representatives, McCain secured 20% votes while Senators Romney and Paul had 14 and 5 percent each. Giuliani fell short of any votes while 1% of the voters remained uncommitted.

Mike Huckabee was declared as the projected winner with 126,685 of the total Republican votes. Of the 31 tied Republican delegates of February 5, 26 pledged their support to Huckabee. McCain ended in the second place with 43, 023 of the total votes and 1 delegate vote cast in Arkansas, February 5. Romney won 28, 779 votes while Sen. Paul could secure only 10,145 votes.
In the Republican Primaries in Arkansas, the majority of voters belonged to the senior citizen age group. The comprehensive victory of Mike Huckabee is attributed to the presence of large number conservative voters. Almost an equal ratio of male and female voters participated in the Arkansas elections.
