
Mitt Romney emerged victors at the Colorado Republican Caucus - February 5. With 95% of the precincts reporting, Romney defeated his nearest rival, John McCain by a margin of 41% votes. This overwhelming mandate in his favor made him the Republicans Projected Winner from the state of Colorado. So far he has received the support of 22 delegates.
According to the popular mandate, Romney received 33,288 votes, which amounted to 60% of the votes cast. McCain got 10,621 votes, which is a mere 19% of the total votes. The other two candidates for the Republican Caucus Colorado-February 5, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul, received 7,266 (13%) and 4,670 (8%) votes respectively. These votes were cast by the registered Republican voters.
