The Minnesota Republican Caucuses - Feb. 5 recorded a win for Sen. Mitt Romney. Sen. Romney got elected as the Projected Winner after securing 41% votes from the state delegates. He also secured the support of all of the 36 pledged delegates from the state, on the basis of the 'winner takes all' system. John McCain came second with 22% state delegate votes. Mike Huckabee was a close third with 20% of the state delegate votes, followed by Ron Paul with 16% votes.
The win at the Minnesota Caucus was a major win for Romney from an important state with 10 electorate votes in the Electoral College. A total strength of 3,090, 899 registered voters make this state a prize catch for the winner in the Presidential race. This win, no doubt, will be counted as an important one for Romney in his fight for the Presidential nomination from his Party.
